The ever so red Fix, one of several chic lounge and restaurants at the renowned Bellagio (the one with the glorious fountains) has just about the requisite degree of substance to match its considerable style. Self consciously hip and contemporary, the venue is divided into drinking and dining areas; in the former you can sip on superb cocktails, crisp Martinis, well-mixed before heading on through to the restaurant and indulging in Kobe beef sliders or rum-marinated lobster. The striking design makes use of Costa Rican wood to give the room its distinctive red sheen and like everything here it looks stunning (we particularly like the undulating, waved ceiling). That said there are some quality/price quibbles that could be made about other elements of the experience, but as a package this place really works.
