They don’t do things by halves in Vegas. This really is a stunning venue: dramatic, lavish and impressive on many levels. The main room is gilt-clad and glimmering, almost a pastiche of a Vegas night spot. Part of the similarly spectacular Encore Hotel, the club is seriously glamorous and attracts a crowd in keeping with that (don’t even think about rocking up to door in sportswear you’ll be told where to go). Bottle service is a big deal here and, if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth getting a table as the dance floor can get crammed and it can be a bit of a mission getting served at busy times. The pool is a big pulling point and there are several party cabanas in the outdoor area. The music is the usual Vegas cocktail of hip-hop and R’n’B, but their cocktails are on the money (literally) as the XS is the home of the Ono, a cognac and champagne concoction served in a jewel-encrusted glass with a nose-bleed inducing price tag.
