While a bit hidden away, Distrikt is worth seeking out. This lively basement bar prides itself on its independence, providing a respite from the anonymous urban chain bars. The coolly lit bar plays host to regular live music nights, the staff are friendly and excited by what they do and the bar serves well-sourced tapas style dishes at reasonable prices. The atmosphere gets livelier as the night progresses and the place can get pretty packed on weekends. There’s a decent selection of beers available and a cocktail menu is in the offing.
