If you want to dance with the beautiful people of Lisbon, there’s no better place to do it than at Radio Hotel (which, confusingly, is not located within a hotel). Positioning itself as a premium nightclub, social bar and live music venue, Radio Hotel is situated in Lisbon’s hip Alcantara district, and as such it manages to draw impressive crowds, particularly during its “Brown Sugar” themed Saturday evenings (bottom line: there’s always a line to get in, so try and get there early). Inside Radio Hotel, you’ll find an eclectic mix of furniture that adds to the upscale atmosphere. There’s studded cream leather sofas, curved walls and unique light fixtures that cast muted neon mood lighting over the whole venue. The dancefloor is split over two levels, and weaves its way through a separate cocktail lounge and VIP area. In addition to regular DJ sets playing the best modern house music, Radio Hotel also features live performances from singers and bands covering genres from jazz to chillout to hip hop. The most popular libation at Radio Hotel is a gin and tonic, served up in stylish goblets with strawberry and cucumber slices, but there’s also several imported bottled beers, wine by the glass and shots.
