One of the latest and hottest spots on Lisbon’s burgeoning restaurant and bar scene, Tabik is a refreshingly fun venue that takes its pursuit of cocktail and food excellence very seriously. A bright and clean space, laden with light wood tables, lime green booths, plants, and plenty of playful and colorful homages to Lisbon’s famous vibrant tiles, Tabik makes a dandy first impression. The vibe is stylish and minimalist, with a large Diego Velázquez painting providing a striking contrast. A full dinner menu is served featuring the seasonal and the flavorful, and the drinks follow suit. The cocktail menu at Tabik has been put together by an artistic and creative duo who has a knack for bringing flavors together and presenting them in a mesmerizing way. A few fine recent examples include the James On Fire – oak-smoked Irish whiskey, house-spiced Peach shrub, lemon juice, and bitters – Ysabel in New Orleans – premium Spanish brandy, mezcal, cherry and herbal liqueur, bitters, and absinthe all topped with the fragrance of Scotch – and the In Vino, Veritas – rosemary-infused ultra premium vodka, homemade wine syrup, bitters, and both beetroot and lemon juice. This team is constantly at work coming up with new concoctions, and has recently been sent to international competitions due to the stellar quality of their blends.
