- Night Out
May 11, 2018
Tucked between two other venues on Wood Street, it’s not that easy to locate Camel Club, but its worth seeking out. Hip and stylish yet absent of all pretension, the two floor space has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and the Moroccan-influenced look has been updated, so that it retains its exotic atmosphere but feels far more modern. The plush downstairs bar is inviting and candle-lit, full of comfy, cushion bedecked sofas. Upstairs there’s a chill-out lounge with room for dancing and a vibrant atmosphere, with club nights spread across the week. On any given night you’ll find DJs spinning everything from funk and jazz to hip-hop and classic 90s tracks. Drinks are decently made without being too pricey and their Elegantly Wasted Saturdays are particularly popular.
