The stylish Ceviche on Soho’s Frith Street provides the perfect introduction to Peruvian food and drink. The venue is divided into two areas with a bustling, narrow bar at the front dedicated to all things Pisco (a clear but potent grape brandy). The signature drink, the Pisco Sour, blends the Peruvian spirit with citrus, egg white, sugar syrup and bitters the results are deliciously light and frothy with a hidden kick. But the stand out cocktail has to be the Soho, a blend of chilli-infused pisco, elderflower liqueur, cucumber, lime, egg white and black pepper which manages to be both fiery and refreshing at the same time. The food menu, which foregrounds the citrus-marinated fish dish from which the restaurant takes its name, is divided into array of tempting small plates and things on skewers, and the venue as a whole has a pleasing urban buzz.
