London-City and East London

Barrio East is the latest opening from the Barrio Group, the team behind Barrio North (in Islington) and Barrio Central (smack bang in the middle of Soho).
The Shoreditch incarnation features the same lively cantina vibe as its siblings, inspired by Latin flavours and atmosphere. It’s a vibrant, fun place serving cocktails and a menu of tasty Latin dishes to a hip young crowd out to have a good time.
The décor is colourful and bright, an antidote to the usual Shoreditch industrial look, and the venue is split into two distinct areas, a space for sipping cocktails in (relative) peace and a dance floor which really comes into its own on the weekends when DJs get the place moving.
From the cocktail list, divided geographically, with separate sections for South American and North American-inspired drinks, the Cape Fizz is a good place to start, blending Chilean pisco with red grapes, pear liqueur and apple juice.
There’s a wide-ranging list of beers available too and they stock a great selection of rums and tequilas.
The food menu is full of yummy things, drawing on Latin and Caribbean dishes for influence, small plates ideal for sharing with friends.
