Taking its name from a bohemian island off the coast of Brazil, Floripa is bringing fun and sunny South American flavors to the center of Shoreditch.
Equal parts restaurant, bar, and nightclub, Floripa is bound to impress you first with the authenticity of their aesthetic. Whether it’s the name of the bar spelled out in Hollywood bulbs on a glamorous sign, the bold floral prints featuring parrots, the wooden tiles painted a rainbow of colors, or the swaying see-through curtains, you will feel enveloped by warm Brazilian breezes immediately and be thirsty for a tropical drink. Oh, and we almost forgot, naturally, there’s also a giant palm tree in the mix, too.
As far as those cooling tropical thirst-quenchers are concerned, Floripa brings the heat. It should come as no surprise that Cachaca is the star of the show and features in their signature drink the Fogo De Floripa – a blend of cachaca, pomegranate syrup, and lime set alight. Other lively mixes we love are the Jumping Devil (cachaca blended with blackberry liqueur, fresh orange and lime, and ginger ale) and the Air Mail (premium rum with honey and lime, topped with sparkling wine). Naturally, you can count on classics like caipirinhas and pina coladas to impress and when you thrown in the Brazilian beer, a full repertoire of southern hemisphere-kissed snacks, and the live ‘Carnival’-esque entertainment, you’ve got an experience some people travel thousands of miles for.
