London-City and East London

This tiny basement bar on the outer edge of Shoreditch is on the snug side but it has a personable, inviting atmosphere that elevates it above much of the nearby competition. The space though a little cramped is colourful, cosy and warm. Run by an experienced chef, the bar food is well above average (the pink champagne risotto is definitely worth your attention). In terms of drinks they offer all the usual suspects: the wine list is a little limited but they do a good range of cocktails. It’s easy to see why the young-ish after-work crowd would choose to come here over some anonymous City bar. Character counts for a lot.
