The décor in this quirky Hoxton Square watering hole is pretty much the definition of eclectic. The bar is filled with mismatched furniture: old leather wingback chairs, candelabra, surfboards, rocking horses, and bicycles.

The décor in this quirky Hoxton Square watering hole is pretty much the definition of eclectic. The bar is filled with mismatched furniture: old leather wingback chairs, candelabra, surfboards, rocking horses, and bicycles. There are tiki totems and wooden chairs in the shape of giant hands. battered wicker sofas, granny lamps, neon and leopard print. Junk shop chic would probably be the best way to describe it, with a tiny dash of Nathan Barley thrown in for good measure. There’s a jukebox in one corner which comes in handy whenever there isn’t a DJ in the house and the downstairs Underbelly space frequently plays host to live bands. House cocktails (sorry, Rocktails) include the lychee-laced Pink Kimono, the properly potent Ziggy’s Rum Punch (which can also be ordered as a sharing drink) and a sweet Vanilla Daiquiri. Prices are decent for the area, particularly the food they serve a range of pizzas and burgers, along with some decent breakfast options, nothing startlingly original but good value, and the atmosphere is funky and vibrant.
