A short walk from London Bridge station, Hide Bar is a relaxed informal venue where you can, well, hide away for an hour or two. Inside, you’ll find an array of sofas onto which you can flop and casually flick through the bar list. With the use of smoking gun machines for the ‘Tommy and smokes’ cocktail, as well as a Perlini machine which adds bubbles to any non sparkling cocktail. with that said cocktails are very much the thing here. Their Chilli Raspberry Martini is a favourite and has a cheeky little kick to it while their daiquiris are served classic fashion with the rum very much the focus of the drink. We still have fond maemories of the passion fruit and mezcal concoction we had on our last visit. The music is well-chosen and the staff clearly know what they’re doing. Its tucked-away location means its never that rammed that you can’t have a conversation, even on a Saturday. Another plus in our book.
