Filled with tattoo art and fun bartenders, London Cocktail Club Shaftesbury Avenue churns out ingenious cocktail creations in the West End six nights a week.

Festooned with graffiti pin-up tattoo art, London Cocktail Club Shaftesbury Avenue is an underground basement bar with a British naval theme but none of the associated stiff-upper-lip. Much like its sister bars, this London Cocktail Club has a personality all of its own, but a cocktail menu to match that of its siblings. The interior is dark and atmospheric, lined with skull-and-crossbones wallpaper and crammed with wooden tables and upholstered booths like an officers’ mess. The West End location makes it the perfect pit stop post-dinner or theatre, but this is no thespian’s hangout; instead, a lively cocktail bar that likes to have a good time.
The drinks menu at London Cocktail Club Shaftesbury Avenue is extensive, and even classic cocktail recipes have been given a modern-day mashup (like the Manhattan Sour – a combination of two timeless favorites, mixing bourbon, vermouth, lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white and bitters). If you’re feeling adventurous, then the bar’s famous Bacon and Egg Martini (bacon-infused aged whiskey, maple syrup, orange bitters and lemon juice, served with a rasher of bacon and a penny sweet egg) is a social media star’s drink of dreams. London Cocktail Club Shaftesbury Avenue also boasts a wide range of shots, with risque names like the Crack Baby (vodka, passion fruit and vanilla) and the Brain Haemorrhage (peach liqueur, Irish cream liqueur and grenadine), and the humor doesn’t end there, with sharing cocktails like the Cheeky Nandos (a mini BBQ filled with whiskey, peach liqueur, lemon juice, bitters, soda water, spice and hickory smoke) guaranteed to please a larger crowd.
