If “modern British restaurant-cum-pub” was a genre, then Percy & Founder’s have nailed it. Featuring different rooms to select from depending on your visit and mood – a dining room, bar, terrace and ‘pub’ – all decked out in blond woods and marble flooring, Percy & Founder’s is the perfect all-day dining and drinking spot in Fitzrovia.
The seasonal food menu is available from breakfast-time onwards (with a bottomless brunch option on the weekends that can include unlimited prosecco or bloody marys) and is tailored around the freshest of English produce. You’d do worse than to order the glazed aubergine with hazelnuts and ricotta, or the rolled pork belly with roasted squash and apples. But there’s something for everyone here, including smaller bites like the homemade Scotch Egg – the perfect accompaniment to the international selection of draught and bottled beers. Cocktails-wise, Percy & Founder’s stick with the seasonal theme to create concoctions that utilise the best of British produce. There’s a selection of seasonal G&Ts (one of our favorites being a mixture of gin, green tea & lovage infusion, tonic and lemon zest), along with long pours like the Basil Brush (vodka, apple, passion fruit, basil syrup and lime), short pours like the Nutty By Nature (gin, walnut bitters, lime and marjoram) and martinis like the Ready, Aim, Fire (tequila, mango, chipotle agave and sumac). Add to that some refreshing mocktails and an impressive wine & champagne list, and you can see why they need to be open all day for you to be able to sample everything that takes your fancy.
