About London Cocktail Club Goodge Street
The second branch of what's now a small London chain of hip subterranean cocktail joints, the Goodge Street outpost of the London Cocktail Club has a dark, punky vibe, all low lights, graffiti and black and white tile, music thumping in the background. As with all its sibling bars, this place really nails the winning formula of atmosphere and quality drinks at pretty reasonable prices for central London. It's a narrow room, which fills up fast so do book ahead if you want to be sure of a table. There are plump sofas lined along one wall and an array of stools on which to perch. It's a pleasure to watch the bartenders do their thing here, whether whipping up a knock-out Porn Star Martini complete with champagne chaser or a mellow Southside Royale, a mix of lemon, mint and fizz, which always goes down a treat. They do a crisp classic Martini, served in the style of your choosing and their Bacon and Egg Martini remains a favourite with good reason. The back-bar is well-stocked with all manner of wicked treats and the place has a real buzz about it, especially late in the evenings when things can get pretty wild.
