London-South East London
May 11, 2018
Offering one of the finest vistas of the Thames and Tower Bridge in all of London, we are pleased to report that the Blueprint Cafe inside the Design Museum is so much more than just a pretty view.
The cafe is certainly a product of its surrounds, as the design features of the space are certifiably splendid. Plenty of clean whites abound, contrasted in splashes by caramel-colored booths and vibrant floral touches. The cafe has earned accolades aplenty for culinary delights (quintessentially British flavors tweaked gently with modern touches), but naturally, it’s the libations that we think coax the best out of their London views.
The cocktails on offer are a seasonal collection, with a recent summer set producing such floral-inspired refreshers as the Gin Sour (raspberry-infused gin, sugar, and lavender), The Forbidden Fruit (rosemary and grapefruit-infused gin topped with ginger ale) and the Tea & G (raspberry-infused gin, chamomile reduction, lemon, sugar, marmalade, and ginger ale). The bar is also known for pouring a beautiful bellini, which is available in a bottomless cup alongside their tasty Saturday brunch, and for putting on many special set menus throughout the year. Add to all this a wine list that features both familiar favorites as well as a few brave bottle choices, and you have a winner in style and function.
