London-South East London

It isn’t often that you get the chance to boast about quaffing cocktails surrounded by lush indoor gardens that overlook the London skyline, but if you are, it’s a safe bet you’ve been to Sky Pod. Sky Pod is a circular bar offering all-day drinks in the midst of the city’s highest public gardens (known simply as Sky Garden), and it truly is a sight to behold; from the top of the glass-enclosed building on Fenchurch Street, Sky Pod offers some of the best views to be found in the city, and is the perfect place to either start or end your day.
Opening from 7am, Sky Pod offers a range of breakfast pastries and smoothies, graduating to slightly heartier bar snacks and full-on fruity cocktails as the day progresses. Many of the cocktails are unique, featuring premium spirits, bitters and syrups. The couple that capture our attention are the Rum Bumble (a blend of 3-year-old and 23-year-old rums, fresh kumquats, almond, vanilla, peach bitters and lime) and the Waterfall (gin, Italian aperitif, cranberry juice, basil, agave syrup, fresh cucumber and watermelon), with the champagne and bellini ice popsicles being great ways to cool down during the summer. Bottles of premium spirits can be served at your table along with a choice of mixers or you can enjoy them straight up by the glass. Sky Pod’s wine and beer list is compact in comparison with their champagne selection, but are the perfect accompaniment to the tasty cheeses brought in from Neal’s Yard and the Goodwood Estate.
