The Soda Room at The Botanist Broadgate Circle

London-South East London

A sumptuous subterranean space at The Botanist at Broadgate Circle, the Soda Room serves the bar's signature cocktails in a scintillating club setting.

London’s Broadgate Circle complex positively buzzes with happening hangouts these days, and The Botanist is easily one of the best. The bar serves some of the finest cocktails in this part of town, and once inside, you’ll find a second bar, the Soda Room – a subterranean space where the tempo gets turned up a notch.

Once you enter the venue and slink your way down to the Soda Room, you are surrounded by striking dark timber floors, fittings formed from gold and copper, arresting artwork, and eye-catching turquoise couches. This is to say nothing of the elevated ‘VIP’ area, which feels like an urban lodge,  complete with touches of taxidermy. The bar at the Soda Room serves up all of The Botanist’s best like the Rum Dog Millionaire (spiced rum, vanilla syrup, passion fruit, lime juice, and prosecco) and the Hey Jose! (premium tequila, cherry-flavored liqueur, agave syrup, lime & pineapple juice, and sage), but it’s the atmosphere down here that separates it from the world above.

Unlike the more toned-down bar upstairs, the Soda Room is part club, park cocktail den, and it keeps the night lively late with a regular roster of DJs and special events throughout the year. And if you’re wondering, yes, the room is available for private hire, and we can’t think of anywhere better for your next festive get-together.
