London-South East London

This high-end boutique club, on Mayfair’s Swallow Street, just off Regent Street, is presided over by a huge, four-foot high teddy bear (if Bungle went clubbing, basically). The Toy Room is relatively intimate. It holds around 180 people and has just 12 covetable tables, but its intimacy is part of its appeal. From the team behind the Project club, it’s a also a cool and decidedly glamorous space, with teddy bear logos dotted all over the place, opulent banquettes and bottle coolers set into the tables. Open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, there’s a focus on hip hop and urban music, and the vibe is high-end and exclusive. You’ll definitely need to book in advance if you want to score one of those tables and you’ll need to be on the guest list if you want to make it inside.
