London-South East London

There’s something of a dearth of decent bars in the London Bridge area (especially since the incomparable Shunt closed its doors) so the presence of Ruba comes as something of a relief. Though it suffers slightly from that familiar hotel bar anonymity (it’s based at the Hilton Tower Bridge), it’s a sleek and stylish space, very much in keeping with the hotel’s colourful and contemporary design, and makes the ideal venue to stop off for a cocktail before dinner or an after-work glass of vino. The colour scheme is a sophisticated midnight blue, there are plenty of elegant and comfy sofas to recline on, and the drinks are well made. They also serve a nice range of pan-Asian snacks.
