K Bar at the Town House Kensington

Stop in for one drink at the K Bar at the Town House Kensington hotel and you may never leave. Whether it’s due to the comfy sofas and rows of books, or the world tour of whiskey you can take via their in-house selection of bottles, it’s difficult to tear yourself away from such a cozy and inviting space. The K Bar oozes class from the outset; dazzling chandeliers embedded into the ceiling, deep blue velvet bar stools, dark wood panelling and low lighting – it’s all rather seductive. And you’ll certainly be seduced by the drinks menu; a collection of well-thought-out cocktails and premium spirits.
Cocktails range from the classic to the contemporary and even delightfully include several sparkling and dessert cocktails for those looking to celebrate or round-out a meal in style. Of the more modern concoctions, our favorite is the King of Queen’s Gate (select reserve whiskey, ginger liqueur, lemon, rose syrup and orange marmalade), but you can’t really go wrong with a sultry sipper like the barrel-aged negroni or the barman’s take on a sazerac. For those with a sweeter disposition, K Bar can pander to your every whim with their Lemon Tart Flip (lemon and vanilla vodkas, lemon juice and lemon pie syrup) or the Chocolate Elit (premium vodka, chocolate liqueur, red vermouth and chocolate bitters). The wine and champagne list is succinct, and all served by the glass, but you won’t find any cheap table vino among this collection of premium labels. If you get a little peckish (and it’s likely, given that you’ll probably spend your whole evening here), then the bar bites of crispy prawn ravioli and Iberico ham croquettes will give you ample sustenance.
