Lost & Co.
London-South West London

This atmospheric Putney bar is the work of the team behind the acclaimed Lost Angel and Lost Society in Battersea. Like its siblings it’s a handsome space, low lit and modern in design, stylish but not style-led. It’s more of a neighbourhood bar than the other two, a little more casual, a little bit cosier, fronting the high street, inviting people in. The décor is hip and urban with bursts of neon and striking murals featuring the likes of Grace Jones and other pop icons staring out at you from the walls. The drinks list is the main draw here, wide-ranging and exciting. The cocktails are well-executed and good value. We like the sound of the Peary Mason, a blend of rhubarb vodka, rhubarb liqueur, lemon juice, sugar, and pear jam. Their refreshing Sake and Lychee Iced Tea makes the perfect summer drink while their Coriander and Lime Rickey uses coriander-infused gin. They also offer a good selection of classic cocktails and beer drinkers are incredible well catered for with a lengthy list of varieties available, both home-grown and international, bottled and on draught. The wine list is decent and, in terms of food, they serve an excellent range of pizzas and other bar food (though we reckon the pizzas are your best bet, particularly the Vesuvius with the chorizo and jalapeno). This is a top notch local bar rather than a destination venue, but it’s easy to see why it’s so popular, especially at weekends when it gets pretty packed.
