New Argentine cocktail bar, Galante, has a dapper 1930s thing going on. The barmen sport bow ties and white jackets and there’s an art deco shine to the décor. Drinks are served in elegant vintage glasses and chandeliers cascade from the ceiling. They take their drinks seriously here. The signature Galante cocktail combines white rum with vermouth, cherry brandy and Kirsch, or the Marie Rose, a zingy mix of gin, fresh grapefruit and red current soda. A new venture from the people behind the Gaucho Grill, the South Ken space is suitably glitzy and the service refined.
