JuJu is pure Chelsea: glam, stylish and a favourite of those with cash to splash. The interior of this King’s Road bar is mirrored and warren-like, low-lit and chic, with booths you can reserve if you’re going in a group this is a good party spot. Not surprisingly cocktails and champagne feature prominently on the drinks list. There’s a good range of fizz, including some wallet-busting bottles if you’re celebrating. The JuJu Mai Tai outs a twist on the classic, a mix of rum, cognac, sugar, lime and pineapple juice, served long. The Chelsea Long Island Iced Tea meanwhile uses champagne instead of cola of course. The Scorpio is altogether more elegant, a mix of gin, elderflower, rose water and champagne garnished with flowers. The fashionable crowd are dressed up and out to be seen and the staff are pretty sharp too; the Pan-Asian menu is a bit secondary to the drinks, though food is well-presented and table service is efficient; the prices are less than you might expect given the location of the venue which is a bonus.
