No 5 Cavendish Square
May 11, 2018
Rarely has the dictum of ‘location, location, location’ been more true. No 5 Cavendish Square is situated in a glorious, Grade II listed townhouse in one of the smartest corners of London. It’s a gorgeous space, made up of three separate bar areas, a restaurant and a members’ night club. The crowd is an A-list gaggle of socialites, celebs and highflyers, testament to this place’s standing in the style stakes. The interior is dramatically yet elegantly designed and real care has been taken over the details there’s an abundance of small, luxurious touches. There’s an extensive wine list as well as classic, immaculately presented cocktails. The staff are ultra-efficient and the food in the dining area, overseen by chef Claudio Baccheri, at times borders on sublime. You do, of course, pay through the nose for this level of luxe, but that’s part of the deal. As the night wears on, members and their friends glide downstairs where they can hit the dance floor and glug champagne to a somewhat predictable soundtrack of R’n’B and house music.
