In a style befitting the exclusive Mayfair address on which it resides, the Polo Bar (located on the ground floor of The Westbury hotel) is decked out in Swarovski crystal and Fendi upholstery, along with angular, Art Deco-style wood-paneled walls and plush white-and-blue dining chairs. Elegant and timeless, much like the food and drinks that are served here, the Polo Bar also features a lengthy marble-topped bar and a spirits selection to make any mixologist green with envy.
The drinks menu at the Polo Bar is longer than a yard stick, filled with creative cocktail concoctions, wines, champagnes and spirits. Signature cocktails include the Brazilian Kiss – cachaca, fresh blueberries, vanilla syrup, lime, topped up with champagne – and the Masterful – a twist on the gin sour made with apricot-infused gin, homemade lavender syrup, lemon sugar and egg white. There’s also a separate champagne cocktail list, as well as several contemporary martinis (the Blue Lady, with bergamot-and-grapefruit-tea-infused tequila, blueberries and elderflower and served with a salt and pink pepper rim is a favorite), a wide array of top-shelf and premium spirits and an international wine list – all served with some luxury bar snacks that are a far cry from the usual bowl of salted peanuts.
Polo Bar serves both a bar bites menu (caviar, duck spring rolls and foie gras, to name just a few), as well as sandwiches, salads, main meals and dessert – perfect to pair with the notable loose-leaf tea selection if you’ve simply popped in to find solace from the Bond Street shopping.
