Taking up residence in what was the Boardwalk Bar on Greek Street (and before that, the Establishment Club, which was owned by Peter Cook and was a favourite hangout of the likes of Michael Caine and Terence Stamp), Zebrano’s sister venue is as appealing as its older sibling. The space has been opened up and made to feel bigger and lighter and the atmosphere is congenial and all-encompassing with the place getting pretty clubby on weekends. The bar is well stocked with all manner of European beers and premium spirits; they can also throw together a pretty decent cocktail. The food is far better than one might expect though it perhaps goes without saying that the place isn’t that conducive to a leisurely, multi-course dinner on a packed and pounding Saturday night. The music is all smooth lounge sounds upstairs and noisy beats downstairs to force people onto the dance floor.
