Los Angeles-Central LA

Perched atop one of LA’s coolest hotels, the rooftop bar at Mama Shelter has quickly become one of the finest spots in the city to be seen sipping drinks or simply taking in scenes of the city.
The Mama Shelter brand was born in Paris, and while they are definitely in the process of taking their game global, each location has retained the quirky sense of style and irreverence that made the first location such a sensation. The rooftop space in LA follows suit, featuring million dollar views without a hint of a million dollar attitude. First impressions are fantastic, as a mish-mash of color-splashed striped couches and pastel chairs mingles with palms, patio lights, and even an old school foosball game.
The drinks list backs up the the laid-back disposition of the decor, featuring refreshers with a Mediterranean twist like the the Basil Yogurt Mojito (premium rum, basil, lime, yogurt, soda) and Mediterranean Mule (rhubarb-infused vodka, ginger beer, and fresh lime). The rooftop also serves sharing pitchers of sangria and a couple of their house cocktails (our favorite being the Midnight Run with premium vodka or gin, elderflower liqueur, cucumber, mint, and rose water) in addition to plenty of bottles full of bubbles, craft beer, and mocktails. Oh, and we almost forgot to mention that you can see the Hollywood sign from the roof, making Mama’s LA rooftop shelter a true A-lister.
