High Rooftop Lounge
Los Angeles-City-Center
May 11, 2018
With its beach and boardwalk having been featured on the big screen for decades, a visit to Venice Beach has long been high on the to-do list of visitors to Los Angeles and locals alike. Yes, the unique bohemian vibe of this seaside town has become legendary, and in recent years, High Rooftop Lounge has emerged on Venice Beach’s seaside scene, adding one more great reason to head over to this fun and quirky town.
Sitting atop the hip Hotel Erwin, High is home to scores of comfy couches decked out in soft nautical colours (think sea greens, turquoise, and cream) and wooden decking, reminding you of your beachside location the moment you enter the space. As Venice Beach’s only rooftop bar, High has a fantastic vantage point to the Pacific Ocean and the nightly sinking of the sun, and as you would expect, the drinks are of the ‘boaty’ variety. A few of our favourites are the punchy High Tide (premium peach vodka, fresh squeezed lemonade, and pomegranate) the smooth and spicy Ocean Breeze (premium blanco tequila, zesty jalapeno, guava puree, and fresh lime) and the cool A Day At The Beach (cucumber vodka, elderflower liqueur, and fresh lime). Plenty of quality wine and craft beer is also on tap, served alongside a fun menu of bar bites featuring the best from north (crab dip & sliders) and south of the border (fish tacos & housemade guacamole).
