Sister venue of the popular Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza is one of the hottest tables in town. In a carb-averse city it’s refreshing to find a place that takes pasta so seriously. This is Italian cooking of the highest order, seriously flavourful and displaying the kind of skill that chef Mario Batali is renowned for. His cohort for this new venture, Nancy Silverton, brings her own bakery expertise to the mix and can often be seen manning the in-house mozzarella bar. The room is sleek and contemporary but not so stylish it distracts from what’s on your plate and in your glass: think burricotti with braised artichokes or gnocci with wild boar ragout plus an impressive, Italian leaning wine list. Reservations are highly recommended.
