Los Angeles-Downtown LA
May 11, 2018
A tiny piece of Paris picked up and placed high above downtown Los Angeles, Perch is one of the finest rooftop locales in all of LA.
Located on the upper reaches of the grand Pershing Square Building, Perch thoroughly impresses from the moment you exit the elevators on the 15th floor. There, you are immediately greeted by antique furniture, opulent couches, and ornate woodwork reminiscent of a bohemian French bistro; with a country garden vibe featuring hanging greens, intricate tiles, and dangling patio lights waiting for you outside. And things get even better on the 16th floor. Just one floor up, the vibe is exclusively cocktails, comfy-yet-chic couches, and stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding skyscrapers and mountains.
The drinks on offer pair perfectly with the scenery, all served with French flair and many with French ingredients – a couple of our favorites being the French Maid (premium cognac, lemon juice, cucumber, and fresh mint) and the Writers Block (premium pear-flavored French vodka, French elderflower liqueur, lemon, and sparkling wine). Naturally, the wine list is impressive to say the least, featuring a bounty of bubbles and fine bottles from France and closer to home in California. Happy hour, or as they like to call it, ’aperitif hour’ is a pleasure at Perch as well, featuring discounted drinks and the chance to ‘create your own’ sparkling Royale.
