Located in the basement of the historic Higgins Building near Harlem Place Alley, this converted cocktail lounge has atmosphere in spades. Many of the space’s original boiler room features including the massive central power generator – remain. Around these striking features the proprietors have sprinkled leather sofas and glass-topped tables. The result is a blend of 1920s art deco chic with an industrial edge. The bar is boasts a large range of beers and wines, as well as a tempting cocktail list. Waitresses wear cool 1920s-style dresses and the kitchen turns out bar snacks that are well above average. A popular down town hangout, attracting a smart, elegant crowd, there is a strictly enforced dress code so be sure to glam up before you go.
