Limantour’s philosophy is simple ‐ to serve beautiful cocktails crafted from the finest ingredients in relaxed surroundings. And it’s proved such a hit in Mexico City that the bar has expanded to a second location. The original Limantour is in Roma, the hipster heartland of the city. And those hipsters have been making a beeline for Limantour since it opened in 2011. The bar’s decor draws on elements of Art Deco, but reinterpreted with a modern eye. And the cocktails are as stylish as the setting. The bar team are a passionate and highly trained bunch, who between them have years of experience working behind bars around the world. They have combined this with local expertise, flavours and ingredients to create a sophisticated menu of cocktails incorporating classics, best‐sellers and specials that change with the seasons. It goes without saying that they make their own syrups and infusions, and they also offer an extensive list of rare and unusual spirits, imported from around the world. It’s hardly surprising that trendy young Chilangos (Mexico City locals) have embraced Limantour wholeheartedly. So much so that in 2013 the team opened a second bar in Polanco, offering a similarly creative cocktail list along with a tempting food menu to the wealthy inhabitants of this upscale district.
