Living Room Bar
Mexico City-Miguel Hidalgo/Polanco, Mexico City
May 11, 2018
Having undergone a major renovation involving some of the hottest names in fashion and design, the Living Room Bar at W Mexico City is fast becoming one of the prime nightspots in the city’s swanky Polanco district. The new look bar brings together fashion, music and design and was created by the famous New York studio Nemaworkshop, a collective of creatives, designers and architects known for their innovative and daring concepts. Here they’ve taken the theme of “masquerade”, which runs throughout the bar to create a playful yet sophisticated space. The unique staff uniforms are the work of Mexican designer Alexia Ulibarri and continue the masquerade concept. The bar has also created an exciting and theatrical new cocktail list to complement the new look, with signature drinks such as Mezcalada and and Sugar Cotton Gin Graffiti. And the light food menu offers original twists on Mexican cuisine. One of the main additions to the venue is a new DJ booth, where some of the biggest names hit the decks from 10pm, Wednesdays to Saturdays. VIP sections have also been created that provide exclusive guests with somewhere to party in privacy, while still being able to keep an eye on the action in the main bar.
