Though it’s a craft cocktail hotspot located inside the Albion Hotel in the heart of South Beach, Repour is anything but stuffy or exclusive. Conceived as a long-time dream of Colorado natives Isaac and April Grillo, the bar incorporates influences from friends and family, including lodgepole pine shelving felled and worked by a friend, and a portrait of the bar owner’s grandfather. Comfy sofas and well-worn Oriental rugs create an inviting, super-relaxed atmosphere to let your hair down just the right amount. The vibe is Saturday afternoon Rock ’n Roll with local live music, “First Funday” barbecues and “Drunken Spelling Bees” attracting an attractive, friendly crowd. House-made infusions, garden-inspired ingredients and inventive chillers like frozen Colorado river rocks (in lieu of whisky stones) and black tea Beam ice cubes add character to sweet-and-savory signature cocktails like the Kha Chili (Plymouth gin, chili syrup, lemongrass, cilantro and salted galangal spice) or It’s Always Sunny riff on a Moscow Mule (Absolut vodka, ancho clementine syrup, Kalamansi citrus, ginger beer). During the summer months, look for cocktails incorporating whole fruits (watermelon, grapefruit, pineapple, etc) as the serving vessels.
