This sprawling nightlife enclave comprises a collection of different areas, so there’s something for any given mood at any given time – as long as that mood includes having a good time.
And with different speciality cocktails, trendy DJs and special guests every week there’s always something new and happening going on.
The seductive Red Room features a red lacquered teak floor and combines modern pieces like a lacquered steel pool table with antique finds like the French Napoleon III silk-covered slipper chairs to create a uniquely eclectic ambience.
Outside is the Redroom Garden, a 2,500 square foot “outdoor living room” whose central area is a riot of colour with perennials, bougainvillea and passion flowers in oversized painted pots. This Moroccan-themed al fresco party space is probably Skybar’s most popular area – grab yourself a spot on one of the daybeds and by the end of the night you’re sure to have a gaggle of new friends.
There’s also the Rumbar, situated between the hotel’s two pools and serving 75 different rums. Here flowing white curtains and potted plants create an intimate, laid-back space.
Skybar’s cocktails include some innovative riffs on the classic Martini and refreshingly fruity Champagne concoctions, while the evening food menu, served in the garden only, features lobster mac and cheese bites and mushroom flatbread.
