Taking the Mexican bar and restaurant concept to a whole new level, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila features a hidden two-level bar behind a taco-serving trailer.

Quite possibly the funkiest speakeasy bar you’ll ever stumble into, Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is housed within a former auto service building and features a taco joint up front and a two-storey bar hidden behind (clue: look for the meat locker or the “bathroom” doors).   The delicious tacos at Bodega Taqueria y Tequila are served out of a shiny converted Airstream trailer and are stuffed with everything from Philly steak to squid ceviche and Huevos Rancheros. The menu also features burritos, tortas, chips and salsa, quesadillas and guacamole. Once you’ve had your fill of Mexican fare, the bar should be your next stop. Lined with the original exposed concrete and brick walls, the bar is crammed with eclectic touches like mis-matched tiles and rugs, neon signage, exposed lightbulbs, a pool table and vibrantly-colored couches, all of which gives it a distinct ‘shabby chic’ feel. The “tequila” part of Bodega Taqueria y Tequila is visible as soon as you enter and spot the long wooden bar lined with spirit bottles, and the cocktail menu includes some twists on Mexican classics like the tall Chelada (beer, lime juice and assorted spices) and the shot of Smoked Horchata – mezcal blended with creamy rum liqueur and topped with grated cinnamon. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can always order one of the “Bartender’s Choice” cocktails – all simply described as either strong, sweet, fun or fruity, depending on your taste or mood.Photo Credit: https://www.facebook.com/bodegasobe
