Late Night Drinking
May 11, 2018
Located in one of St. Louis’ most lively nightlife districts, The Loop, Eclipse at the Moonrise Hotel has quickly evolved into one of the best places for a cocktail in the entire city. A magnet for both travelers staying at the beautiful boutique hotel and in-the-know locals, Eclipse is home to a retro lunar-themed restaurant/bar space in addition to a breathtaking rooftop locale with soaring views over the city. Home to an eclectic mix of legendary record stores, concert venues, and bars, The Loop is one of the most exciting nightlife spots in St. Louis, and Eclipse has fit right in from the start. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, Eclipse is home to both a restaurant and cocktail bar. The restaurant opens early for breakfast and serves bites deep into the night, offering a menu of fantastic modern fare with a touch of Midwest flavors like the St. Louis ‘famous’ Toasted Ravioli. It’s the cocktails that are of another orbit at Eclipse, with two fine examples being the 3-Mile Long Island – American applejack, dark overproof rum, tequila, gin, French liqueur, lemon, agave nectar and cola sourced from Mexico – and the Big Lebowski-inspired Jackie Treehorn – five spice infused dark rum, coconut cream, lime, bitters & pineapple. The rooftop terrace at Eclipse is simply stunning, opening in the milder months and home to sweeping views over St. Louis including its world famous Gateway Arch, all in the shadow of the world’s largest man-made rotating moon.
