Now this is a hotel that’s far more us. Remember the Malmaison hotel chain? Well this refreshingly classy hotel is the brainchild of Ken McCulloch. It’s quiet, comfortable and lacks some of the institutionalised ‘stuffiness’ you can find elsewhere in Monaco. Take your bottle of fizz onto the terrace, sample the rotisserie menu and then (if you’re staying) take the boat service to the nearby private Mala Beach to sleep it off. Not cheap – but not tacky.
