The Rue Bernard branch of this local mini-chain of stylish cocktail bars serves some 30o different cocktails. The list is huge. You could spend days wading around in it. Best arrive with a game plan – or at least lots of friends to help you through it. The interior is comfy and wood-panelled bar, but it’s the cocktails you come here for. The Zenith is a mix of Absolut Mandrin, Apricot Brandy, mango and coriander, the Earl Grey Marnier mixes Absolut Mandrin, Grand Marnier and an infusion of Earl Grey tea, the Red Lotus blends Absolut and lychee, while the Chartberry pairs green Chartreuse with Chambord and strawberry puree. We like the sound of the Pomme Fuji which blends Absolut Vanilla with Absolut Orient Apple, ginger and apple, and the Chili Coconut which is a mix of Absolut Pepper, coconut syrup and lemon. There are classics aplenty too as well as snacks and tapas. Their happy hour is well worth checking out and they do a selection of excellent sweet cocktails if you want to make a meal of it, so to speak.
