New York City-Brooklyn

Transporting guests back to the glory days of American train travel, Grand Army brings the glamour of this gilded era together with a set of fine cocktails, craft beer, and opulent seafood.
Located in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn, Grand Army was born from the idea of bringing a true neighborhood bar to an area sorely lacking one. Grand Army certainly succeeds on this front by offering a laid back and welcoming space, one that also just happens to dish out top-of-the-line cocktails and oysters. The decor is a classy mix of ‘bar-car-meets-colorful-gallery’, with the bar-top itself a curvaceous dark wood beauty lined with steel blue stools, and the bright white walls of the venue lined with vibrant works of art.
All the cocktails on offer at Grand Army are named after vintage American train lines, and include fun additional seasonal selections. A few stars include the Arrowhead LTD – mezcal, Italian aperitif, premium vermouth, and India pale ale – The Surfliner – navy-strength rum, allspice dram, blue curacao, fresh lime juice, cane syrup, pineapple juice, and bitters – and the Super Chief – blended scotch, premium orange liqueur, cinnamon syrup, bitters, fresh lemon juice, and a floater of red wine. Beer follows right behind, with some of the finest offerings from America and Europe. The fare at Grand Army is the precise sort you would expect to see being served up in the dining car of a locomotive by candlelight (think fresh oysters, clams, and crab legs) and complements all cocktails, beer, and wine perfectly.
