Union Hall
New York City-Brooklyn
May 11, 2018
It’s all in the game. Union Hall owned by the guys behind Floyd – is a lively two level Park Slope bar with an ace up its sleeve in the form of two full size indoor bocce courts. Housed in a former warehouse it’s a sprawling space, much bigger than its sibling. Seriously, this place is vast: in addition to the bocce courts, there’s also a rather library-like bar area with bookshelves and a blazing fireplace, booths, plush sofas, elegant leather wingback chairs, the ubiquitous pressed tin ceiling and an array of Soviet era trinkets and other curios dotted around the space; here’s where you can wait your turn while sipping a craft beer they have a very good selection or munching on one of the house burgers or some of their signature ‘beer-cheese’. Downstairs there’s a spacious stage area where they have regular live music nights and stand up comedy even a science night. There’s outdoor garden seating too, for hanging out on warmer nights.
