New York City-Lower East Manhattan

This Flatiron space exudes low-lit Big Easy atmosphere. Inspired by the bars of New Orleans, Bo’s is spread over two floors with a stylish ground level space, all parquet and palms, bare-brick and banquettes, for after-work drinking and dining and a seriously sexy basement bar (look out for the Garden District signage) with cool blue floor tiles, velvet booths, accordion lamps and a zinc-topped bar counter. Jazz plays lazily in the background as people sip gin fizzes. Cocktails come care of from a former Mulberry Project man, so the standard is high. Try the Bo’s Firing Squad, a potent blend of Applejack, Mezcal and Rye, their take on the traditional Mexican Firing Squad, or the Soulja Slim, a zingy mix of gin, ginger, apricot, rose water. They also serve a range of classic cocktails Old Fashioned, Negronis, Sazeracs and so forth – alongside a short but well-chosen selection of wines. The downstairs space also offers a pared down version of the main food menu, a range of snacks with a southern spin, including alligator (yep, alligator) with red pepper and chili aioli. The venue’s popular ß-fat Thursdayß- promo is well worth your attention, and the mood tends to crank up as the evening progresses with DJs and music to get you in the weekend spirit.
