Inspired by Jean Coucteau’s 1946 film La Belle et la Bßte, Isola bar at the Mondrian Soho serves superb food and drinks under a glass roof. The greenhouse-like space is theatrical and playful, all white and gold, the ethereal quality accentuated by bursts of greenery. The inside and outside merge in a room full of crystal and white linen. The food does not let the side down with a menu boasting slow-cooked octopus and other aquatic delights alongside numbered cocktails. Favourites include the refreshing Number 3, a blend of bison grass vodka and unfiltered cider, and the feather-light Number 4, a mix of Kiwi Vodka, lime juice and egg white.
