New York City-Midtown Manhattan

Measure is a stylish and comfortable lounge and restaurant located at the gloriously luxurious Langham Place Fifth Avenue in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Featuring a selection of American and British comfort food dishes with a modern twist, care of Chef David Vandenabeele (decent pizzas, an on trend kale and sprout salad, a decadent grilled cheese affair, a top notch house burger, and a classic steak tartare with grilled pretzel bread), the handsome space also features a delicious seasonal drinks menu. Boasting a range of classic and contemporary cocktails alongside an extensive selection of both Old and New World wines and a craft beer menu (but of course) it’s the kind of chic but welcoming place you can drop into throughout the day, for a morning coffee or as the precursor to a night on the town, often accompanied by a spot of live jazz. From the inventive drinks list we liked the sound of the Pisco Inferno, a fiery mix of pisco, licor 43, lemon, red pepper agave, egg white, cayenne, and angostura bitters and the Bronklyn Cocktail, a more refined blend of gin, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, maraschino, and orange bitters. They also serve a smooth Sidecar and a classic Old Fashioned.
