    About Toshi's Penthouse

    7039 6947

Owned by Robert ß-Toshiß- Chan, Wall Street trader, real estate mogul, party promoter, and now hotelier, the fashionable, luxurious Flatiron Hotel new boasts a brand new drinking space, Toshi's Penthouse, a smart rooftop bar with spectacular views of the surrounding New York architecture. Given the hotel's central location it's not surprising that those are some seriously cinematic views, the city as shot by Woody Allen all that's missing is the fireworks. The Empire State Building shines in the background as a stylish crowd sip well-made cocktails. The drinks list contains a number of classic cocktails alongside a few ß-scandalousß- options with ingredients including jalapeno infused tequila and edible gold flakes; the latter crops up in The Golden Ponzu, a mix of 15 year old scotch, ginger, lychee and the aforementioned gold garnish. Toshi is something of a one-man brand, with a cartoon version of himself providing the bar's logo; the penthouse is an offshoot of his jazz and music club, Toshi's Living Room, located downstairs in same building and the man himself (and his dog) are often on site. The décor is stylish but low key so as not to distract from the amazing views and the atmosphere is sophisticated and rather less raucous than some of the city's rooftop venues, making it an ideal place for an after-work drink
