About OTB

OTB is a new Williamsburg venue from Post Office owner Alla Lapushchik. It's a smart space with a racetrack theme. Named after a gambling parlour, the high-ceilinged room is light and airy, with mint green walls and warm, dark wooden floors. Booth seating lines one side of the space and on the other there's a tile-topped bar counter besides which there are plenty of stools on which to perch. There are tip-sheet-style menus and the floor is inlaid with gleaming horse-emblazoned medallions. The drinks menu boasts some twenty tipples and includes a good array of classics. They do a decent Old Fashioned and a potent Manhattan, as well as a range of original cocktails. Their version on the Prohibition era drink the Bee's Knees is given an extra citrus hit with Meyer lemon juice while the Ruby Rum is an inventive take on the Hemingway's Daquiri, using fresh grapefruit juice, mint syrup and aperol, They also stock a small but well-chosen range of American craft beer. Food comes care of Ssäm Bar alumnus Sam Glinn and is French in inspiration, the menu featuring bistro staples like onion soup, steak frites, and frogs' legs.
