A breezy outdoor cocktail and restaurant space in the heart of the historic walled city of Nicosia, Patio Cocktail Bar provides a colourful escape from the ordinary. With a name like Patio, you walk in expecting to be put in the mood for a tropical drink, and they definitely deliver. Simply strolling in sends your eyes on holiday, as the main courtyard is filled with lush greenery and dangling fairy lights and one of its walls has been plastered from end-to-end with dozens of pastel shutters. Yes, it’s a mid-winter’s Mediterranean fantasy come to life, and the food and drink on offer completes the dream. Fare trends towards tapas of the hot, cold, and creative variety (think halloumi panna cotta, asian pork kebabs, and a spinach salad featuring fruits, goat cheese, and champagne vinaigrette), but it’s the cocktails that truly take you away. Mixes like the PatiCO2 (premium vodka, fresh watermelon, red grapefruit and passionfruit), the Patio Mojito (Irish whiskey muddled with lime, mint, apple, cucumber, and topped with sparkling water) and their signature Dragon Kiss (gin, strawberry puree, apricot and a refreshing signature juice) are poured alongside an entire roster of sunny spins on the classics, with live DJs keeping the patio party vibes going until late night.
