Behind a big unmarked door in Cronulla Street sits this awesome prohibition bar, Blind Bear. Combining both old and new themes, the blues music sets off their ‘rocky mountain’ vibe and helps to get the night rolling. The first thing that may catch your eye here is their obvious flair for creativity and art. Red cushioned booths, lined in rows, which are made from old pallet boards, which is definitely something we have never seen before! You will also note the little chalkboards hanging off of the beer taps describing what amazing flavours are flowing though that particular pipe. All of the beers served behind this speakeasy timber bar are 100% Australian craft, along with wines being from local sources too. They have a heavy selection of bourbon, whiskey and rum to choose from, as well as tasty house cocktails. You should try their speciality, ‘dickle tickle’ which is made up of whiskey, chocolate bitters, blackberry liquor and their very own homemade lime cordial. Blind Bear also have a pretty neat food menu going, and high on our list, sits the beef sliders accompanied by chilli chips! You can also order the battered popcorn shrimp for an extra exotic kick.
