Angst
Oslo-City-Center
May 11, 2018
Opened in 2013, Angst seems improperly (or at least ironically) named, for it’s actually a very chilled and welcoming place, with distinctive colourful décor bound to put you in a good mood. Somewhat hidden away down an unassuming alley, it’s rapidly become a favourite with locals, with good reason. The place is quirky and stylish with bold bright cartoon wall art, floral light fittings and a painted ceiling. It’s colourful and fun, full of playful details (we like the owls, or at least we think they’re owls) and as evening closes in the place takes on an almost magical, fairytale quality, albeit one with booze and beats. The bartenders are friendly and make a decent cocktail, there’s a good range of beer and wine on offer too, and the music is properly cool. The crowd is youthful and lively and the bar can get pretty rammed on weekends, good then that it also boasts a pleasant outdoor area as well, a great place for hanging out with a drink or two on a warm summer night.
